Roosmarijn & David's Woodland Wedding

Roosmarijn (Rose) and David's wedding was a little different from the English norm as Rose is from the Netherlands.  Dutch tradition is that  the Groom collects the flowers from the florist and then goes to the bride's house to present them to the bride and they travel to the wedding ceremony together.  The weather was fantastic for their special day which was a bonus as their ceremony was at Gibson Mill in the heart of Hardcastle Craggs.  The Bride & Groom together with their guests walked through the woods to the Mill which is quite a distance but they arrived in next to no time.  The ceremony was quite emotional but finished with clapping and laughter!  Another Dutch tradition is that they wear their wedding rings on the right hand - not on the left.  After the ceremony we went straight into the Confetti throwing, then some group shots and finishing with the Bride & Grooms personal photographs.  Later in the evening a reception was held at Waterfront Hall in Hebden Bridge.  Rose and David are leaving shortly to go back-packing for a year.  Everyone had a wonderful and fantastic day.
All the best for the future from Norma and Stuart at Norma Dean Photography.
